Water Conservation Community is the culmination of a vision to give back to the planet. It is a movement of citizens to help clean up our rivers, oceans, lakes, beaches and coastlines thereby create greater connect and engagement of citizens with water.

We are constantly consuming, throwing away rubbish, tons of plastic and other non-bio degradable waste that lands up in our oceans. It’s the great oceans where sewage leads into other than landfills.

Have you ever walked on one of the beaches in Mumbai city?  Outside of India, a trip to the beach is considered a great way to spend a holiday, being outdoors with the kids, playing in the sand, taking a dip in the ocean, one returns refreshed, energized and happy.

However, the scene in Mumbai and other parts of India is very different. In Mumbai alone most of the beaches are covered with plastic, rubbish and human feces. You seldom see citizens playing on the beach or going for a dip in the ocean. On Mumbai’s local beaches, such as Chimbai and Versova the amount of plastic brought back by the tide as well as thrown by humans is humongous and scary.

Water Conservation Community is a mission to unite the citizens to create a platform i.e a larger collective to work for restoring the much-needed life energy and natural beauty back to all water bodies, beaches and the beautiful coastlines of the world.
